Alliance Navy

No source data available for this section.

The Alliance governs the star system through an organization of core planets, following its success in forcibly unifying all the colonies under one government. DVD commentary suggests that the Alliance is composed of two primary systems, one predominantly Western, the other pan-Asian, explaining the blended linguistic and visual themes of the series. The central planets are firmly under Alliance control, but the outlying planets and moons resemble the American Old West, under little governmental authority.

Reader's Guide

The central government called the Alliance controls the core planets while outlying areas resemble the American Old West with little authority. 'men with hands of blue' are operatives of a secret agency possibly aligned with Blue Sun Corporation, distinct from general security forces. It confirms the existence of 'Alliance scientists' and general 'Alliance security forces' but offers no guide to an Alliance Navy's specific functions, ranks, or uniform distinctions.
