Patrik Antero Pasma (born 2 March 2000) is a Finnish racing driver who last competed for Evans GP in the Formula Regional Asian Championship. His single-seater career began in Formula Ford categories across the UK and Finland, with a best result of second place in the Marcel Albers Memorial Trophy at Circuit Zandvoort.

Pasma moved into British F4 in 2017 with Carlin, where he was involved in a severe crash with Billy Monger at Donington Park that led to Monger's double leg amputation. Pasma continued racing, finishing eighth in the standings. Switching to Arden International in 2018, he scored his first career win at Rockingham and ended the season sixth with two wins and eleven podiums.

Career

Pasma started his single-seater career in Formula Ford, racing in the Walter Hayes Trophy, Finnish Formula Ford Junior Championship, Champion of Brands, and Marcel Albers Memorial Trophy. His best result was second place in the Marcel Albers Memorial Trophy at Circuit Zandvoort, behind Irishman Stephen Daly. In 2017, Pasma joined Carlin for his first British F4 season alongside Jamie Caroline, Logan Sargeant, and Lucas Alecco Roy. He recorded five points finishes and two podiums early on.

British F4

During the third race at Donington Park, Pasma slowed on the Schwantz Curve, causing JHR Developments driver Billy Monger to crash into the back of his Carlin. Monger reported hearing Pasma screaming in the cockpit. Monger had both legs amputated; Pasma was not seriously injured and was released after overnight examinations. Pasma returned at Thruxton, finishing 13th in the first race and seventh in the two following races.

He added more podiums and points finishes to end the season eighth. For 2018, Pasma moved to Arden International. In the second race, he battled Johnathan Hoggard for the lead and crossed the line second, but both were penalized for jumping the start, dropping to fifth and sixth. His first podium of the year came at Donington, where he finished second after a late safety car.

MRF Challenge

At Rockingham, he won his first career race, taking pole, fastest lap, and victory ahead of Hauger and Doohan. He ended the season with two wins, eleven podiums, and 315 points, placing sixth. Pasma was the only Finn in the 2018-19 MRF Challenge. He took reverse grid pole in the fourth race at Dubai and converted it into his first of three wins, holding off Max Defourny by half a second.

Formula Renault Eurocup

He finished on the podium at least once in all three rounds, with three podiums in Bahrain. He finished 94 points behind champion Jamie Chadwick. In 2019, Pasma moved to Formula Renault Eurocup with Arden, partnering Frank Bird and Sebastián Fernández. He scored a sole podium at the Nürburgring and finished 11th in the standings.

Formula Regional

For 2020, Pasma switched to KIC Motorsport in the Formula Regional European Championship. After a weak first half with only one podium, he took four race wins in the second half, climbing to fourth in the standings as the highest-placed driver not with Prema Powerteam. In early 2021, Pasma raced in the F3 Asian winter series with Evans GP. After a sub-par first half, he had five podiums in the final five races, including two victories, moving him to fourth in the standings.

He remained with KIC in Formula Regional European for 2021, then replaced Thomas ten Brinke at ART Grand Prix after ten Brinke's retirement. He finished 12th in the standings.

In winter 2022, Pasma returned to Evans GP for the final three rounds of Formula Regional Asia. He won the reversed-grid race at Dubai Autodrome and ended the campaign 11th. He made his FIA Formula 3 debut in March 2022 during pre-season testing with Jenzer Motorsport.
