Zenos yae Galvus
The emperor's son who seeks worthy opponents for lethal combat.
Zenos yae Galvus is the emperor's son and the imperial viceroy who administers the provinces of Ala Mhigo and Doma. His brutal oppression of the conquered imperial subjects impels the player to act. Zenos' harsh and sadistic tyranny contrasts with Gaius' egalitarian, meritocratic policies, and he whiles away his time seeking worthy opponents for lethal combat.
Lore & Background
Zenos yae Galvus is the son of Emperor Varis zos Galvus, who made him imperial viceroy after Gaius van Baelsar's defeat in A Realm Reborn. He administers the Garlean imperial provinces of Ala Mhigo and Doma. His rule is defined by harsh and sadistic tyranny, which contrasts with Gaius' earlier egalitarian, meritocratic policies. Zenos whiles away his time seeking worthy opponents for lethal combat. In Doma, he promoted Yotsuyu goe Brutus, a Doman turncoat who hates her countrymen, to acting viceroy before leaving for Ala Mhigo. When the Warrior of Light and the Scions attempt to aid the Ala Mhigan Resistance, Zenos joins a surprise attack on the resistance headquarters, easily outmatching even the Warrior of Light. Unimpressed, he withdraws, leaving survivors to rebuild.
