Plot

Corrupt FBI agents Dean Crept and Mike Mattress die and are sent to Hell, believing it is an error. They escape by stealing a magical crystal from Satan and return to Earth. Hoping to buy their way into Heaven, they perform good deeds and start a private investigation business. Greydon Lake and his wife Gloria each hire them to investigate the other. They try to solve their own murders while evading police Lt. Langdon and Det. Dalton, who suspect them of killing informant Buster. Weenie Man, a shady informant also in hell, tells Satan of their escape; Satan gives the G-Men two days to return his crystal. They become involved with mad scientist Dr. Boifford, who resurrects Buster, and superhero Cheetah Man.

Reception

Dennis Harvey of Variety called it a goofy, nonsensical mystery that is somewhat entertaining. Nathan Rabin of The A.V. Club wrote that its bare-bones production values are forgivable but its lack of wit and creativity is not. Rachel Morgan of Film Threat rated it 3.5/5 stars, calling it super campy but fun. At DVD Talk, Earl Cressey rated it 2/5 stars and Bill Gibron rated it 1.5/5 stars; both found it boring and poorly acted. Mike Watt described it as the epitome of a Kitchen Sink movie, where a cult film throws in every bizarre idea imaginable.
