Plot

The film opens at a fancy party where a woman named Priscilla says hello to Harry Faulkner, but soon turns her attention to a bigger man. After glancing back at Faulkner, she departs with this other fellow, leaving Faulkner irritated. The story then jumps back to prehistoric times. A Weakhands tribesman steps out of a cave and sees a woman, but members of the Bruteforce tribe quickly chase him off. Lilywhite leaves her cave because her mother has died. Meanwhile, a Weakhands man is being pursued by a Bruteforce. He runs into Lilywhite, seizes her by the hair, and drags her to his cave—she does not resist. Later, when Weakhands is away, a Bruteforce finds Lilywhite and takes her. Weakhands rushes to help but gets thrown aside. He tries again to free her but is driven off. In his rage, he stumbles upon an invention: jamming a stick into a hole in a ring-shaped rock creates a club. He knocks out the Bruteforce in a fight and gets Lilywhite back. More Bruteforces show up, but after he hits two on the arm, they leave him alone. Weakhands becomes the leader of the Stone Club men, who live in the upper mountain caves. After losing a war, Monkeywalk, the low cave men’s leader, looks for a new home. His people settle on Stone Club territory, bringing their only woman with them. Weakhands and his mate enjoy domestic peace until a dinosaur—a Ceratosaurus with a horn on its nose—appears at their cave entrance. The dinosaur moves on, but then the low cave tribe attacks. War erupts. Lilywhite rallies the other women to fight, and the intruders are beaten back. Still, one low cave man escapes with a club. While the Stone Club men are gone, the low cave men, now also wielding clubs, kidnap their women. Angry at the power their former lone woman held, they club her down. Weakhands leads a rescue, but his men are overpowered and trapped in their cave. One Stone Club who steps outside gets clubbed immediately. Necessity sparks invention: Weakhands creates the bow and arrow. He kills two enemies with it, and the low cave men flee. The Stone Clubs pursue. Weakhands shoots the man who took Lilywhite, then finishes him with a club.
