Syndrome tries to kidnap Jack-Jack, but the baby's shapeshifting powers emerge, and Syndrome is killed by his own cape. Three months later, the Parrs face the Underminer.
In *Incredibles 2*, the family and Frozone stop the Underminer from destroying City Hall but fail to prevent a bank robbery. The bank robbery leads the government to end the superhero amnesty program (the Superhero Relocation Program is already defunct by this point).
