Division Rivals includes three main match types: VS Attack (asynchronous turn-based multiplayer focusing on offensive stages), Head to Head (full 90-minute matches sped to 6–8 minutes, no extra time unless in Tournaments or PvP), and Manager Mode (AI-controlled matches emphasizing tactics). A VS Friends section allows players to play VSA or H2H against friends. As of the June 11th, 2025 update, a new star ranking system was introduced to make promotion easier, along with a new UI and rewards.

In Their Own Story

The screen loads the Division Rivals menu. You check your current standing, knowing that every match counts. In VS Attack, you will only play offensive stages, with the difficulty of your chances decided by your team's OVR. In Head to Head, you will play a full match sped up to about six to eight minutes, with no extra time if the score is tied. In Manager Mode, you set your tactics and let the AI play for you. The goal is to earn stars to increase your division. With the June 11th, 2025 update, a new star ranking system makes promotion easier. But the clock is ticking—every 28 days, the divisions reset, and you must climb again.
