Unlike the Eden's Gate cult of Far Cry 5, the Highwaymen are a ruthless gang focused on plunder and control. Prosperity was never a Highwaymen-run commerce hub; instead, it became a beacon of hope and cooperation after being freed. Its walls and defenses, once symbols of Highwaymen oppression, now protect a community rebuilding from the ashes.

Prosperity serves as the main operational base for the player after liberation in Far Cry New Dawn. Initially controlled by the Highwaymen, capturing this settlement unlocks critical gameplay features including weapon crafting, vehicle upgrades, and mission dispatching. Its role is pivotal to the story progression, acting as the anchor point for the Resistance against the Twins. Players return here frequently to manage resources and coordinate attacks on other territories. Why it matters: Without securing Prosperity, the Security Captain cannot fully establish a foothold in Hope County.
