Pedro Penduko at ang Mga Engkantao

Pedro Penduko at ang Mga Engkantao is a fantasy drama series from the Philippines that aired on ABS-CBN. It was the second show in the Komiks anthology, following 'Komiks: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko' which aired earlier in 2006. Direction is by Dondon S. Santos and Mister Fonzy. The cast includes Matt Evans, Oyo Boy Sotto, Maja Salvador, Denise Laurel, Arron Villaflor, and Makisig Morales. It ran on Saturday evenings from May 5 to October 27, 2007, as a separate sequel series to Komiks: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko, later giving way to 1 vs. 100. In this story, Pedro is not alone in fighting the evil Kalagua; he is joined by five chosen individuals called Engkantao.

The plot follows Pedro (Matt Evans) after high school, as he prepares to leave Tulay Buhangin for college. He and his grandmother Lola Maria (Gloria Romero) move into his grandfather Lolo Pablo's boarding house near the University Belt, where Pedro hopes to live a normal student life. But normalcy is not in the cards. Lolo Pablo (Cris Daluz) has visions of spirits, and his latest vision is alarming: the demon Kalagua has escaped her prison and is hunting for the chosen Engkantao—a half-human, half-engkanto hybrid whose power can lead her to Floreshka. Once there, she plans to destroy the kingdom and all engkantos protecting humanity, triggering the final apocalypse.

Upon arriving in the city, Pedro experiences culture shock. Soon after, Lola Maria is kidnapped by a man possessed by an evil spirit, and Pedro uses his new powers to rescue her in Cubao, Quezon City. Meanwhile, in Makati City, Kalagua possesses a photographer at a hotel, but Engkantao Josef intervenes. In Tondo, Manila, a monster emerges from a garbage dump, and Engkantao Marie helps the victims. In Monumento, Caloocan, Dianne fights statues brought to life by Kalagua. At Luneta Grandstand in Manila, criminals take hostages, and Engkantao Edward steps in. At the Quezon City Memorial Circle, Moy uses his powers to kill attacking snakes. All these incidents happen simultaneously in different locations, and when mapped out, they form a six-pointed shape—the symbol of the chosen Engkantaos. After these attacks, Kalagua searches for the chosen Engkantao through the body of Dr. Eva. The question remains whether the young heroes banding together will help them or make it easier for Kalagua to find them.
