My Super D

My Super D is a Philippine television fantasy drama that aired on ABS-CBN in 2016. The series was directed by Frasco Mortiz, Lino S. Cayetano, and Claudio Tots Sanchez Mariscal IV, and featured a main cast including Dominic Ochoa, Marco Masa, Bianca Manalo, Marvin Agustin, Sylvia Sanchez, Nonie Buencamino, and Ronaldo Valdez. It was part of the network's Primetime Bida lineup and also aired worldwide on TFC from April 18 to July 15, 2016, taking over the timeslot of *My Love Donna* and *Game ng Bayan*, and later replaced by *Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7* or another program. A special weekly marathon called *My Super D: Super Marathon* aired on Saturday nights on the Yey! channel from April 23 to July 16, 2016.

The story begins with Super D (Richard Yap), an alien superhero who draws his power from a blue gem. He saves many people, including barangay captain Dado (Ronnie Lazaro), who is inspired to dedicate his life to helping others. Dado's wife Belen (Sylvia Sanchez) has a son named Dodong (Marc Santiago), who idolizes Super D as a child and befriends Nicole and Tony. Crime lord Don Zulueta (Ronaldo Valdez), who knows Super D's secret, uses a woman (Precious Lara Quigaman) to bring the hero down. Super D falls in love with her, unaware of the plot. Zulueta's group kills Super D, but the mall bombing and Dado's death occur differently or are not part of the established canon as described. Years later, Dodong (Dominic Ochoa) is a hardworking man married to Nicole (Bianca Manalo), with a son named Dennis (Marco Masa). After an accident at a construction site, Dodong is betrayed by Tony (Marvin Agustin), who tries to take advantage of Nicole and Dennis. Pablo (Nonie Buencamino), a graphic artist and friend of the original Super D, helps Dodong become a new superhero to rescue Dennis from kidnappers. Dodong finds the blue gem and transforms into the new Super D, defeating the kidnappers and facing the challenge of balancing family and hero duties.

The main cast includes Dominic Ochoa as Dodong/Super D, Marco Masa as Dennis, Bianca Manalo as Nicole, Marvin Agustin as Tony/Zulu 2.0, Sylvia Sanchez as Belen, Nonie Buencamino as Pablo, and Ronaldo Valdez as Don Zulueta/Heneral Zulu.
