Minutemen

The Minutemen are one of the four main factions the player can support in Fallout 4, a militia devoted to protecting the settlements of the Commonwealth. Early in the story the Sole Survivor reaches the town of Concord on Codsworth's advice and meets Preston Garvey, a member of a revived version of the Minutemen who can later join the player as a companion. The Minutemen are one side of the brewing war between the Institute, the Railroad and the Brotherhood of Steel. If the player sides with them, Garvey promotes the player to General, the faction retakes its old base, repels an Institute attack and plans the Institute's destruction.
