Plot
Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck work as sales representatives for the Rambling House Publishing Company, competing for a grand prize awarded to the top salesman. Bugs is assigned to Pismo Beach, California, and Daffy to Thermopolis. Daffy crashes into Porky Pig's home during a winter storm after destroying a stuffed duck. Bugs, in a jungle, disguises himself as a baby ape. The two reunite and head toward Pismo Beach, finding a cave of treasure in a dry desert. Bugs is forced to tell parodied fairy tales to Sultan Yosemite Sam's spoiled son, Prince Abba-Dabba. Daffy discovers a magic lamp in the cave; a genie appears, and Daffy flees through the desert seeking water. Bugs escapes Sam by faking boiling oil and rejoins Daffy. Daffy's attempt to sell books at the palace backfires, and the pair ride off into the sunset, Daffy featherless.
Production
The main plot, casting Bugs and Daffy as Scheherazade-like figures, resembles the 1959 short Hare-Abian Nights, which also used stock footage and featured Yosemite Sam as the sultan. Uncredited voice artists from the original shorts are billed as 'additional classic voices'. Arthur Q. Bryan receives credit on a Warner Bros. production for the first time 23 years after his death, though not explicitly as the voice of Elmer Fudd. This is the first Warner cartoon compilation feature to use classic footage from more than one director: Chuck Jones directed One Froggy Evening, Bewitched Bunny and Ali Baba Bunny; Robert McKimson directed Aqua Duck; Friz Freleng directed the other included shorts.
