Awards winners
The FIA Personality of the Year award was determined by permanently accredited media from the FIA's World Championships, who voted for the competitor or figure they believed achieved an exceptional performance that season. Eligible individuals included drivers, team managers, officials, volunteers, or others affiliated with an FIA Championship or Event. The voting process required each media member to select three individuals in the first stage, with a final selection of ten candidates. This award was discontinued before the 2022 Prize Giving Ceremony and replaced by two new prize categories. The FIA Action of the Year award is chosen by motorsport fans through balloting on the FIA's official website, allowing them to select the defining event of the sporting year. Beginning in 2024, this award was divided into seven categories, one for each FIA World Championship in each motorsport discipline. The FIA Rookie of the Year is selected among drivers who completed their first season in an FIA-sanctioned championship, with eligible series including the FIA Formula One World Championship, World Rally Championship, European Rally Championship, World Touring Car Championship, FIA World Endurance Championship, World Rallycross Championship, European Rallycross Championship, FIA Formula 2 Championship, FIA Formula Three Championships, and Karting KF World Championship. The FIA Outstanding Official of the Year, introduced in 2022, is selected among the FIA's volunteers and officials by the FIA Volunteers and Officials Commission. The FIA President Innovation Medal, also introduced in 2022, was created by current FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem to recognize people with ideas benefiting both the sport and the wider world, with the winner selected by the incumbent FIA president.
