Lore & Background

Everton won their first League Championship in 1890–91. After winning four more League championships and two FA Cups, the club experienced a post–Second World War lull until a revival in the 1960s. A period of sustained success came in the mid-1980s, when Everton won a further two League championships, one FA Cup and the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup. The club's most recent major trophy was the 1995 FA Cup.

In Their Own Story

The rain had just stopped at Goodison Park, leaving the pitch glistening under the floodlights on that fateful afternoon in May. The air was thick with anticipation as the final whistle blew, not just ending a match, but sealing another chapter of history. Colin Harvey, breathless and muddy, looked up to see the stands erupting into a sea of blue and white. It wasn't just a win; it was the culmination of a season defined by grit and unity. As the players gathered around Harry Catterick, the weight of the ninth League Title felt heavy in their hearts, a tangible reminder that they had once again conquered the league.
