Morgante, also called Morgante Maggiore, is an Italian romantic epic by Luigi Pulci, first published in its complete 28-canto form in 1483. Commissioned by Lucrezia Tornabuoni, it burlesques the Matter of France, centering on the giant Morgante, who becomes a Christian follower of Orlando. The poem ends with Orlando's death at Roncesvalles.
