Lose Yourself (Entourage)

"Lose Yourself" serves as the season seven finale of the HBO comedy-drama *Entourage*, airing on September 12, 2010. The episode focuses on Vincent Chase, whose personal troubles escalate as tensions mount with his current girlfriend, Sasha Grey. Meanwhile, Ari Gold, Eric Murphy, and Turtle try to stage an intervention for Vince, but their efforts backfire.

In the plot, Sasha Grey, already a porn star, tells Vincent she plans to return to making pornographic films, which he opposes. They argue intensely on set, break up, and Vince storms off. Meanwhile, Johnny "Drama" Chase and his friends attempt an intervention, but Vince rejects it and leaves. Eric Murphy grows anxious about his relationship with fiancée Sloan McQuewick. After dinner with Sloan’s father, Terrence, Eric is asked to sign a prenuptial agreement. He confronts Sloan, who says they will discuss it later. But when Eric learns his boss Murray Berenson has been reporting to Terrence, he changes course and contacts Scott Lavin, agreeing to team up to push Murray out of his own company.

Ari Gold also faces marital trouble: despite throwing an extravagant party for Ms. Ari, she decides to leave him and sends her sister to collect her belongings. Overwhelmed and depressed, Vince drinks alcohol and snorts cocaine in his hotel room, then heads to Eminem’s private party in the lobby. He acts rudely, hits on women, and refuses to leave when asked. Johnny tries to bring him home, but Vince won’t go. After greeting Eminem, Vince insults him, prompting Eminem to punch him, sparking a brawl. Vince is taken to the hospital but tries to leave against medical advice. As he nears the exit, a police officer stops him, having found a bag of cocaine in Vince’s clothes, leaving everyone stunned.

For production, Ellin wrote the episode and Nutter directed. In June 2010, Eminem and Christina Aguilera were announced as guest stars. Ellin told *Entertainment Weekly* that Eminem’s character has a conflict with Vince, and Aguilera performs a song at a party for Ari.
