**Plot** Vince is set to leave for Italy, and Drama plans to join him, skipping his Melrose 2009 audition. Matt Damon confronts them, urging Vince to support a charity for child famine. Vince declines but promises a substantial check. Ari and Melissa attend marriage counseling after Melissa is upset about Ari using $12 million of her money for a merger. Ari delivers a heartfelt explanation, and Melissa agrees. However, Ari becomes furious when Terrence insists on keeping his name on the company and initially refuses the deal. Terrence later apologizes for firing Ari and explains he trusts Ari’s vision for the company’s future. Ari signs the deal, then fires disliked TMA agents—including Adam Davies—using paintballs. Lloyd prepares to quit but is stunned when Ari promotes him to agent. Drama changes his mind and auditions for Melrose 2009, impressing Yagoda. Though Yagoda likes his performance, the network passes, deeming Drama too old. Still, they offer him a new series, which he accepts. Eric takes Sloan to lunch outside the city, despite her request to return on time. Sloan realizes Eric wants to reconcile and angrily demands they go back. During their argument, Eric pulls over, expresses his feelings, and proposes. Sloan accepts.
