Gameplay

The player controls three characters: Aladdin, Abu, and Jasmine. Aladdin can sword fight, jump, and stomp. Abu jumps, rolls, and climbs walls. Jasmine hides in a pot to hop and sneak. Gold coins are collected across levels, and villains are fought. Environments vary and allow interaction. Each level ends with a minigame: pie throwing, surfing, skateboarding, or cloud jumping.

In Agrabah, Aladdin evades guards and wanted posters to reach the Sultan’s Palace. The Palace has been taken over by Nasira and enchanted guards; Aladdin must reach the throne room. In the Dungeon, Abu rescues Aladdin by dodging guards and traps. At the Oasis, Aladdin seeks the lost scarab to enter the Cave of Wonders. The Cave of Wonders reveals paths of gold and gems; Aladdin and Abu rescue the banished Genie and escape on the magic Carpet. The Pyramid requires the Book of the Dead for entry; inside, Aladdin faces mummies, snakes, Sphinx guards, and mechanical puzzles to rescue Jasmine. The Crumbled Palace has Jasmine hiding in a pot to retrieve a road map from Nasira's henchmen. The Ancient City has Aladdin running along a cliff wall toward a forgotten city populated by thieves and living skeletons. Nasira's Lair is the final battle in a volcano pit where Nasira prepares to resurrect Jafar. Minigames follow each level.
