Argent D'Nur
The planet of the Night Sentinels, besieged by Hell in a war for the Heart of Argent.
Argent D'Nur is the planet where the Doom Slayer arrives and is subsequently empowered, and whose people, the Night Sentinels, he assists in their war against the forces of Hell. The demons seek an object known as the Heart of Argent on this world. The planet is ruled by King Novik, whose daughter is Commander Thira. The alien Maykrs have weaponized the Doom Slayer to aid the Night Sentinels, but the Slayer is not fighting entirely of his own free will, as his master, Kreed Maykr, suppresses him with a device called a Tether.
Lore & Background
Argent D'Nur is the homeworld of the Night Sentinels, a people led by King Novik. The planet is under assault by the forces of Hell, led by Prince Ahzrak, who seeks an object known as the Heart of Argent. The alien Maykrs have weaponized the Doom Slayer to assist the Sentinels in this war, though the Slayer is controlled by a Tether device worn by his master, Kreed Maykr. King Novik does not fully trust the Slayer or the Maykrs, and at one point keeps the Heart of Argent with himself. Commander Thira, Novik's daughter, is later revealed to be the Heart's power source, housing the soul of a Wraith, a descendant of the Cosmic Realm. After Ahzrak extracts Thira's soul to power the Heart, he leads a final assault against the Sentinels. Following the Slayer's defeat of Ahzrak, Thira rallies the Sentinels, bidding them not to put their faith in the Maykrs, but in themselves instead. Later, during the Revelations expansion, Argent D'Nur is on the brink of a civil war between Maykr loyalists and those who distrust them. Thira, after seeing her father's death through a replica of Novik's axe, orders her forces to rebel against the Maykrs.

In the Revelations expansion, Argent D'Nur is on the brink of civil war between Maykr loyalists and those who distrust them, and Thira declares war on the Maykrs after learning of her father's death. The planet's story is deeply connected to the Doom Slayer's origins and his struggle against both Hell and the Maykrs.
