Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction (1986)

Dolly Parton was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1986, the same year Ms. magazine named her one of its Women of the Year. She had become a professional songwriter at sixteen, wrote songs for other artists before releasing her debut album, Hello, I'm Dolly, in 1967, and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1969.
