Beipiaognathus

A dubious coelurosaurian theropod from Early Cretaceous China.

Beipiaognathus (meaning Beipiao jaw) is a dubious genus of coelurosaurian theropod from the Early Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Liaoning, China. The type species is Beipiaognathus jii. It was initially assigned to the Compsognathidae, but later observations suggested the fossil may be an artificially assembled chimaera, rendering it phylogenetically uninformative.
