Guilmon

In Digimon World 4, Guilmon is one of four playable starter Digimon available to players on PlayStation 2, GameCube, and Xbox. Unlike previous entries in the series, this title features action-based hack and slash gameplay where players control Guilmon directly using weapons like swords, guns, and axes rather than relying solely on Digimon powers.

Lore & Background

Guilmon appears as a selectable protagonist alongside Agumon, Veemon, and Dorumon. The game is loosely based on the 2005 film Digital Monster X-Evolution and even utilizes footage from that movie. Players guide Guilmon through areas such as Death Valley, Dry Land, Venom Jungle, and Machine Pit to combat the spreading 'X-virus' and defeat bosses including Apocalymon, MaloMyotismon, Lucemon, and Mecha Rogue X.
