Grêmio Esportivo Catanduvense, usually known simply as Catanduvense or as GEC, was a Brazilian football club from Catanduva, São Paulo state. Founded on February 5, 1970, the club adopted blue and white as its official colors, inheriting the spot in Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão left by the folded Catanduva Esporte Clube. Catanduvense won the Campeonato Paulista Second Level in 1974, though no promotion to the first level was available at the time. Later, in 1988, the club switched to red and white—Catanduva Esporte Clube's original colors—and finished as runner-up in the second level, earning promotion to the top level for 1989. Deeply in debt, the club folded in 1993.

Background
Catanduvense's rise to the top level of São Paulo football came through a strong 1988 campaign. That year, the club adopted red and white as its official colors, mirroring the original colors of the earlier Catanduva Esporte Clube. In the Campeonato Paulista Second Level, Catanduvense finished as the runner-up, only behind Vanderlei Luxemburgo's Bragantino, and secured promotion to the following year's top level. The club competed in the São Paulo state top level for the first time in 1989, finishing in the 8th position of its group.
That same year, Catanduvense entered the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. In the first stage, the club was grouped with América (SP), Botafogo, Goiânia, Goiatuba, and Uberlândia, finishing in second place. In the second stage, Catanduvense was eliminated by Bragantino after a 0–1 defeat at home in the first leg and a 1–1 draw in Bragança Paulista. The club's final position in the competition was 27th. By 1993, deep debt forced the club to fold.
