Background
He grew up at Wammy's House alongside the other candidates to succeed L and was called B, for 'Backup'. He was born with Shinigami Eyes, letting him see people's names and the day they would die, and he used them to murder victims on the very day they were already fated to die. Little is known of his early life except that his father was beaten to death and his mother died in a train crash.
Did You Know?
- 'Rue' is an anagram of the Japanese pronunciation of 'L'.
- Ryuzaki, the name he used, is later adopted by L himself.
