Anor Londo Knights
The golden guardians of the gods who stand eternal vigil over a fallen paradise.
The Anor Londo Knights serve as the elite royal guard of Lord Gwyn and his lineage, stationed within the gilded capital city. Clad in gleaming golden armor and wielding massive greatswords or halberds, they are the physical embodiment of the Age of Fire's perceived perfection and divine authority. Their primary duty is to protect the Throne of the Lord and maintain order within the city, acting as the first line of defense against any who would challenge the gods' rule.

Lore & Background
However, their loyalty became a tragic flaw when Lord Gwyn abandoned Anor Londo to link the First Flame. In his absence, the knights were left with no true command, yet they refused to acknowledge that their god had fled or died. They continued their patrols and duties in an endless loop, fighting phantoms of enemies long gone. Over time, the fire within them faded, turning them into Hollows who mindlessly attack any intruder, mistaking them for invaders sent to usurp a throne that no longer has a king.
Reader's Guide
The Anor Londo Knights are the elite military force dedicated to the protection of the gods' capital and their sovereigns. Their primary goal is the preservation of the Age of Fire's order, maintaining the sanctity of Anor Londo against any perceived threats to divine authority. Membership consists of the most skilled warriors in the land, selected for their strength and unwavering loyalty to Lord Gwyn and his family. Notable figures include Gough and Ornstein, who served as the city's greatest champions before the fall. In the conflict known as the Dark Soul journey, these knights serve as a massive obstacle. Initially appearing as allies of order, they become mindless enemies once their god departs, forcing travelers to fight through waves of hollowed guardians to reach the throne room.
