Jason Witten
A third-round tight end who caught more passes than all but one at his position.
Jason Witten is a former NFL tight end who played 17 seasons, most of them with the Dallas Cowboys, who picked him in the third round of the 2003 draft out of Tennessee. Only Tony Gonzalez has more career catches and receiving yards among NFL tight ends, and Witten is often named among the best ever at the position. He now coaches tight ends at Oklahoma.

Lore & Background
Witten moved to Elizabethton, Tennessee, at 11 to live with his grandparents, and played linebacker and tight end for his grandfather, coach Dave Rider. As a senior linebacker he made 163 tackles. Tennessee recruited him as a defensive end, but injuries at tight end saw him switched to offense midway through his freshman season.
