Fictional character biography
Cinderblock is a concrete monster shaped like a person, with no known origin. Slade first deploys him in the episode "Divide and Conquer" to free Plasmus from jail. The Teen Titans try to stop him, but Cinderblock succeeds, wrecking a large section of the prison and causing a mass escape that the Titans later contain. After freeing Plasmus, Slade orders Cinderblock to assault the city while the Titans are occupied with Plasmus.
Cyborg eventually takes him down. In "Apprentice," Robin tracks Slade through the sewers and fights Cinderblock there. Robin beats him easily because a tracking device on Cinderblock leads Robin straight to Slade's hideout. During "Aftershock," Slade has Terra break Cinderblock, Overload, and Plasmus out of prison and sends them to different areas of the city.
Robin and Starfire battle Cinderblock until Terra turns on them. The three villains are then merged into Ternion, a combined monster that the Titans defeat. In season five, Cinderblock joins the Brotherhood of Evil. In "Titans Together," the remaining Titans—Jericho, Pantha, Herald, Más, and Beast Boy—gather to free their captured teammates.
Jericho takes over Cinderblock's body and uses his memories to learn the Brotherhood's base is in Paris. Jericho and his group infiltrate, with Jericho pretending he has captured the other Titans. His cover is blown when he tries to talk to Private HIVE, since Cinderblock is normally silent. After Jericho leaves, Cinderblock joins the fight against the Titans and is beaten.
In the comics, Cinderblock appears in Titans #17 (2009). He fights the newest Teen Titans in downtown San Francisco, absorbing most of their attacks with hardly any damage. Beast Boy and Wonder Girl impale him with a metal pipe, making his body crumble. Bombshell throws his head into the San Francisco Bay before he can regenerate. This comic version can talk, but speaks in a broken way.
