Background
Reunited, Julia tells Spike about the threat she received from Vicious: instead of killing Spike to spare herself, she chose to run away. She wants to pick up where they left off, but after finding Annie shot, Spike resolves to get revenge. They shoot their way out when Annie's store is swarmed by Syndicate members, and Julia is shot and dies in Spike's arms.
Spike returns to the Bebop to eat with Jet and share a laugh, tells him Julia died, and leaves a crying Faye to storm the Red Dragon Syndicate's headquarters. Shin helps him partway and tells him where to find Vicious before he is shot and killed. On the top floor of the Syndicate skyscraper Spike and Vicious fight one last battle; both are badly injured before Spike shoots Vicious in the chest and kills him. Stumbling down a set of stairs to face the remaining Syndicate members, Spike holds up his fingers in a gun shape and says "bang" before collapsing.
