Composition and lyrics
The track is divided into two parts. The first part, "911", features a sunny and joyful sound with synths and a soulful bass, incorporating an interpolation of "Outstanding" by the Gap Band. Its lyrics depict a lovesick Tyler unable to enjoy anything without his lover. Steve Lacy and Anna of the North sing the chorus and bridge, while Frank Ocean's verse recalls a lover who picked him up from the suburbs. The second part, "Mr. Lonely", contrasts with a thunderous drum pattern and stuttering hi-hats, as Tyler raps about his loneliness, including the line "I say the loudest in the room / Is prolly the loneliest in the room / It's me."
