Background

The choice of a dinosaur goes back to the building of Coors Field, when workers found small fossil fragments on the site, among them part of a rib thought to come from a triceratops; the find also made 'Jurassic Park' an early name idea for the ballpark. Dinger appears on the field before and after games and roams the stands during them, and works year-round with elementary schools in the Rocky Mountain region on fitness and reading.
