Central Division (NHL)
NHL division formed in 1993, part of Western Conference.
The Central Division of the National Hockey League was created in 1993 during a Western Conference realignment, taking over from the Norris Division and later becoming one of two successors to the Northwest Division. Its original members were the Chicago Blackhawks, the original Winnipeg Jets (now the Arizona Coyotes), the Dallas Stars, and the St. Louis Blues. Membership shifted over time due to expansion, relocations, and temporary changes. Today, the division includes the Blackhawks, Jets, Stars, Blues, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, Colorado Avalanche, and Utah Mammoth.
