Kyle Quincey is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for seven teams, including the Colorado Avalanche. He was originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2003 NHL entry draft and later joined the Avalanche via trade in 2009.

Kyle Quincey was traded to the Colorado Avalanche on July 3, 2009, along with defenceman Tom Preissing and a fifth-round pick in 2010, in exchange for left winger Ryan Smyth. He made his Avalanche debut on opening night of the 2009–10 season in a 5–2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on October 1, 2009. Quincey joined Todd Gill to become just the second player to play for the Avalanche after previously appearing for the rival Detroit Red Wings. During the 2009–10 season, he quickly established himself within the re-building Avalanche defence, leading the team in average ice time and recording a career-high of six goals for 29 points in 79 games. On July 2, 2010, he was signed by the Avalanche to a two-year contract extension.
