Brown attended Cartersville High School in Georgia, where he was a three-year starter and rushed for 4,936 yards, 12 touchdowns. At Auburn, he shared carries with Cadillac Williams, finishing seventh in school history with 2,707 rushing yards and fifth with 28 rushing touchdowns. He twice earned second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors in 2002 and 2004. In the NFL, Brown played for the Miami Dolphins (2005–2010), Philadelphia Eagles (2011), San Diego Chargers (2012–2013), and Houston Texans (2014). He was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 2008 season.
