The White Sox have always been located on the South Side. Their rivalry with the Chicago Cubs is known as the Crosstown Classic. The teams first met in the 1906 World Series, where the White Sox, known as the 'Hitless Wonders,' defeated the heavily favored Cubs in six games. From 1903 to 1942, the teams played a postseason City Series, with the White Sox winning 18 of 25 series. In 1985, an annual 'Windy City Classic' charity game began, with the White Sox going 10–0–2 through 1995. Since interleague play began in 1997, the teams have played four or six times each season.
