The 2015 Chicago Cubs season was the franchise's 144th season and its 100th at Wrigley Field, the first under manager Joe Maddon. The Cubs finished 97–65, the third-best record in baseball but third in the National League Central, three games behind the St. Louis Cardinals, and qualified for the postseason as the second wild card, their first postseason appearance since 2008.
