Jeff Teague

Former NBA All-Star and current Pike High School head coach.

Jeffrey Demarco Teague (born June 10, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player, who is the head coach for Pike High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for five teams between 2009 and 2021, including seven seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. Since retiring in 2021, he has worked as a regional scout for the Hawks. Teague played college basketball for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons before being selected 19th overall in the 2009 NBA draft by the Hawks. He made an appearance as an NBA All-Star in 2015.

Reader's Guide

Teague played for the Atlanta Hawks (2009–2016), Indiana Pacers (2016–2017), and Minnesota Timberwolves (2017–2020). He was traded to the Pacers in a three-team deal on July 7, 2016. He signed a three-year, $57 million contract with the Timberwolves on July 10, 2017. His career-high 17 assists came on December 30, 2016, while with the Indiana Pacers.

Teague was a four-star recruit and ranked the No. 9 point guard in the nation in 2007.
He scored a career-high 34 points twice: on January 11, 2009, against North Carolina, and on December 26, 2013, against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Teague was the first Pacers player to start all 82 games since Mike Dunleavy Jr. in 2007–08.
