Literature
Brihadratha founded the Magadha dynasty. His line ended with Ripunjaya, slain by his own minister in 682 BCE. Kushagra’s son Vrishava followed, then Pushpavanta, Satyahita, Sudhanvana, Dhanusha, Sarva, and Sambhava. The Agni Purana says Jarasandha succeeded Sambhava, but other Puranas place a second Brihadratha between Jantu and Jarasandha or Sambhava and Jarasandha. Jarasandha’s son Sahadeva died in the Kurukshetra War.
