Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls

Celebrities survive on a remote Pacific island with Bear Grylls.

Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls is a spin-off series of The Island with Bear Grylls, first broadcast on Channel 4 in September 2016 as part of a charity campaign for Stand Up to Cancer UK. The show follows the same format as the original, with participants left on a remote uninhabited Pacific island with limited water, basic tools, and training, expected to find their own food, water, and shelter. The celebrity version initially had a shorter two-week stay, with a second series extending to four weeks.

Facts from the source article.

Series 1 (2016)

The first series consisted of four 60-minute episodes, broadcast in September and October 2016 in aid of Cancer Research UK's Stand Up to Cancer campaign. Ten celebrities lived on the island for two weeks. Aston Merrygold left in the first episode, unable to cope, and Thom Evans departed the following episode due to difficulty with the lack of food.

Series 2 (2017)

A second series was confirmed on This Morning on ITV and began airing on 29 August 2017 on Channel 4. The celebrities stayed on the island for four weeks, two weeks longer than the first series. In the second episode, RJ Mitte left after the safety team arrived to help with torrential rain, unhappy with the group's disorganisation. Sharron Davies and Jordan Stephens left in the following episode unable to cope. Mark Watson departed in the final episode after severe chest pains and insomnia, later stating he almost died.

Series 3 (2018)

A third season of Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls was announced on ITV's This Morning, now airing independently rather than as part of Stand Up to Cancer. On day five of the first episode, Roxanne Pallett departed after a panic attack triggered by campfire smoke that recalled a childhood house fire. Paris Lees left following criticism of her contributions and clashes with Eric Roberts. Unable to cope, Montana Brown quit while criticizing Bear Grylls and other cast members. Pete Wicks stopped others from eating a pig and suffered a nurse shark bite on his finger from a fish he had caught in his net.
