Two characters were added in the third series: Pia, a parrot who likes to fly high, and Scuttle, a green spider with eight legs.

The series was first announced in October 2009 by Chapman Entertainment and CCI Entertainment, which pre-sold it to CBeebies for a May 2011 delivery. The show ran for three series: the first in 2011, the second in 2012, and the third from 2017 to 2018.
