Allmogekor
Traditional Swedish rustic cattle, acutely threatened and preserved as heritage.
Allmogekor, meaning "rustic cattle," refers to Sweden's traditional cattle breeds. These animals served multiple purposes as draft, dairy, and beef sources. Now unable to match modern breeds for profit, they are maintained as cultural heritage, living gene banks, and for conservation grazing.
