Synopsis

In this retelling, Marianne breaks up with Robin Hood. A decade and a half later, both command separate bands in different parts of Sherwood Forest. Marianne raises their son Adrien, now fifteen, without Robin knowing the boy exists. Adrien falls for the Sheriff of Nottingham’s daughter, who moves into the forest with him. After the Sheriff’s army attacks, Marianne asks Robin for aid. Discovering Adrien is Robin’s son, the Sheriff jails the boy. Robin is also captured but rescued by his comrades. He mounts a rescue with Little John and Friar Tuck. Though they win the final fight, Little John dies. The group mourns him, and then King Richard the Lionheart returns to knight Robin.
