Research at Dow University has identified variants of human genes that may offer potency against Coronavirus disease 2019, noting that the virus sequence in Pakistan differs from the Wuhan virus with a few mutations. A team of scientists earlier found nine gene compounds and their effectiveness in controlling epidemic virus growth. On 13 April, the research team suggested that local IVIG from recovered patients could control virus progress in infected hosts, involving minimal risk with desired efficacy in COVID-19 recovery.
