Ryunosuke Akutagawa is a central figure in Bungo Stray Dogs, initially introduced as a member of the criminal organization known as the Port Mafia. He serves as a primary antagonist to Atsushi Nakajima, who joins the Armed Detective Agency under Osamu Dazai's guidance. Their conflict defines much of the series' early tension, as Akutagawa relentlessly pursues Atsushi while acting on orders from his superiors within the mafia.
