Daniel Brodin is a Swedish professional ice hockey right winger who currently plays for Djurgårdens IF Hockey in the SHL. He was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL entry draft and has represented Sweden internationally at the 2010 World Junior Championships.

Playing career

Brodin played in the 2006 TV-pucken for Stockholm Röd, scoring one goal and two points, but the team did not reach the playoffs. He spent the remainder of the 2006–07 season with Almtuna IS's J20 team. The following season he moved to Djurgårdens IF, playing mostly in their J18 team. Promoted to the J20 team for 2008–09, Brodin's team reached the playoffs but lost to Brynäs IF in the semifinals. He joined Djurgården's senior team as an extra player for an away game against Luleå HF on 12 February 2009 but did not play. His actual Elitserien debut came against Modo Hockey on 10 November 2009; two days later he recorded his first point, an assist on a goal by Marcus Krüger against Luleå HF. On 14 November 2009, Brodin scored his first Elitserien goal, the game-winner in a derby against Södertälje SK. After being drafted by Toronto, he signed a two-year extension with Djurgården on 4 March 2011. On 3 May 2019, Brodin joined HC Fribourg-Gottéron of the National League on a one-year deal worth CHF 650,000.
