Steven Van Zandt (né Lento; born November 22, 1950), known professionally as Little Steven or Miami Steve, is an American musician and actor. A core member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, he plays guitar and mandolin. He officially joined the band on July 20, 1975, during the first show of the Born to Run Tour after arranging horns for "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" and contributing the signature guitar line to "Born to Run." After departing in early 1984 to focus on his solo career with Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul, he returned briefly in 1995 and has remained an ongoing member since 1999. Beyond music, he is celebrated for acting roles as Silvio Dante in The Sopranos (1999–2007) and Frank Tagliano in Lilyhammer (2012–2014).

He formed his first band, the Whirlwinds, around August 1964, later joining the Shadows by May 1966.
