World of the Dead: The Zombie Diaries 2

Plot

A family holds a birthday for their daughter during the apocalypse, maintaining the illusion of normalcy despite relying on a camcorder and birthday candles for light. It becomes clear they have barely survived as zombies overwhelm them. The footage of the birthday is archived by a military photographer, Jones, who documents his team's efforts to survive in a remote beachside compound. There they take in survivors, both infected and not, including Leeann, the sole survivor of the previous film's original crew, now portrayed by Alix Wilton Regan.

Together with a medical officer, the team attempts to hold out. Zombies break in and overrun the facility; only Leeann, Jones, and a few soldiers escape, forced to leave one of their own behind. They reach a remote cabin as snow begins to fall, but the zombie population forces them to flee again. With their transport disabled, they trek through the brutal outdoors at night.

The next day, while walking in the woods, they discover booby-traps and the remains of dispatched zombies. Suspecting human bandits, they avoid the traps and find an enemy hideout, where they encounter psychopathic renegades led by Goke, aided by his sidekick Manny. Jones and Carter secretly witness Goke's men sexually assault an infected female before Goke shoots her in the head and chastises them. They return to the others and fall back into the woods.

Leeann has not yet seen her past tormentors but recognizes the grim location where she was found before the film's opening.
