The Crow Girl is a television series based on the Crow Girl book series by Erik Axl Sund, adapted by Milly Thomas for Paramount+. The first series was released in its entirety on 16 January 2025, and a second season followed on 20 July 2026. The series follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn and psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven as they investigate the murders of young men, uncovering a world of historic abuse.

Lore & Background

The Crow Girl television series is an adaptation of the book series by Erik Axl Sund, the pen name of Swedish authors Jerker Eriksson and Håkan Sundquist. The books were optioned by ITV Studios and Tomorrow Studios in 2014. In 2023, an adaptation by E.V. Crowe for Paramount+ began moving forward, with Milly Thomas writing the series. Charles Martin and Rebecca Rycroft directed, and Andy Mosse served as producer. Filming began in Bristol in March 2024, with locations including Castle Park, Wine Street, and Brean, Somerset. Guitarist Slash, a fan of the novel, joined as executive producer and contributed to the soundtrack.
