O.S.S. (TV series)

O.S.S. was a black-and-white wartime television drama that aired 26 half-hour episodes during the 1957–1958 season. It was a co-production between Buckeye Productions and ATV, distributed by ITC Entertainment, and broadcast in the United States on ABC. The show centered on Captain Frank Hawthorne, an agent of the American Office of Strategic Services, who carried out missions behind enemy lines in Nazi-occupied France.

The main cast included Australian actor Ron Randell as Captain Frank Hawthorne, Lionel Murton as The Chief, and Robert Gallico as O'Brien. Guest stars included Lois Maxwell, Christopher Lee, Roger Delgado, and Enid Lorimer.

Production began with a pilot shot in November 1956, and the total budget was approximately $1,200,000. In October 1957, Randell injured his hand during a sequence and required stitches.
