Lore & Background
The Rebellion Beer Company was founded in 1993 by two former students of Sir William Borlase's Grammar School. In 1998 it purchased Courage's former Pilot Brewery, and in 2003 it acquired the lease of the Three Horseshoes pub in Marlow. The brewery hosts open evenings with a tour on the first Tuesday of each month for visitors, and on the second Tuesday for members of its beer club, which numbers 2000. The brewery's beers are made with all-natural ingredients, part of a marketing strategy to increase sales through supermarkets offering a greater selection of artisan beers.
