Neighborhoods
The long-awaited reunion record that brings the original trio back together to define a new chapter.
Last updated
Neighborhoods is the eighth studio album by the American rock band Blink-182, marking their return after a highly publicized hiatus and lineup changes. Released in December 2023, it serves as the follow-up to their seventh album, One More Time... (which was not released), effectively bridging the gap between the Tom DeLonge era and the current configuration featuring Matt Skiba before his departure and the subsequent return of the original trio. The record is a significant milestone in the band's history, representing a reconciliation of past tensions and a fresh start for their core songwriting dynamic.
Background
The album's themes often reflect on the passage of time and the changing landscapes of their lives, both literally in their hometowns and metaphorically within the music industry. Unlike previous works that might have leaned heavily into nostalgia, Neighborhoods attempts to capture a mature perspective on growing up while retaining the energetic spirit that made them famous. It is viewed by fans as the definitive answer to years of uncertainty, proving that despite the distance traveled, the musical chemistry remains intact.
